Stained glass artist. Archibald John Davies was born in London but the family moved to Moseley, Birmingham in 1884. He studied under Henry Payne at the Birmingham Municipal Central School of Art and set up his own studio in Moseley in about 1900. In 1906 A.J. Davies moved to Bromsgrove and established his studio in the premises of the Bromsgrove Guild.
