George J. Hunt (1878–c.1945)


Stained glass artist. George Jonathan Hunt was the son of Arthur Hunt and worked for his father's firm Shrigley & Hunt from 1896, working with the firm's designers Carl Almquist and E.H. Jewitt, and becoming a junior partner in 1905. However, he left in 1909 and set up his own studio in London. In the 1930s George Hunt was based at 2 Sydney Grove, Old Hendon, London NW4.
