Howard Martin Otto Travers ARCA initially trained with Christopher Whall at the Royal College of Art, and was articled to Ninian Comper from 1909-12. He taught stained glass at the Royal College of Art from 1925-48. Travers was closely aligned with the Anglo-Catholic movement and specialised in baroque-style fittings, of gilded and painted wood. A list (albeit incomplete) of Martin Travers' work was compiled by Leonard Buckley and published by the Ecclesiological Society.
