Stained glass designer. Frederick W. Cole designed for William Morris & Co. of Westminster in the 1930s, having joined as an apprentice in 1926. He became their chief designer after the war, when he was invited to re-establish the firm and train new staff. After the firm closed in 1958 he designed for Wippell & Co. until 1961, and then ran his own studio in Fulham until 1971. Cole continued to design windows for Wippell's during and after this period. He designed for Rohlf Studios of Mount Vernon, New York from 1985 until his death.
