Diocese of St Davids
The Church of St Caron is located on raised ground in the centre of Tregaron, perhaps on a pre-historic site. Some of the church, including the tower, is of medieval origin and early medieval inscribed stones found at the site, now lost, are indicative of a long history of Christian presence. Renovations and rebuilding in the nineteenth century was followed by a major restoration in 1877 by A. Ritchie.
