Church (Anglican)

The church is probably a twelfth-century foundation. Much thirteenth century work, and major work of around 1500 including oak panelled roof. The spire was demolished in 1802. Light restoration work in the nineteenth century, including work by the architects Thomas Rowlands, W.H. Lindsey, C.E. Giles and Ewan Christian. Nave restored by W.D. Caröe in 1903-5.
