Church (Anglican)

Priory Church of St Nicholas and St John (Evangelist). Founded by Arnulph Montgomery c.1098 and given to the Benedictine Abbey of St Martin, Seez, Normandy. The nave (thirteenth century) was used as the parish church after the dissolution, as the east end of the church was left to ruin. The church was restored 1887–95 to the designs of John Prichard of Llandaff (died 1886), who returned the original priory quire to use.

For further history of the medieval house see Monastic Wales.
