Diocese of Hereford (formerly: Llandaff)
A church is thought to have existed here by the eighth century. Some eleventh century work remains in the nave, although the church is mainly thirteenth century. It was restored 1861-62 by J. Prichard & J.P. Seddon.
Although in Monmouthshire, the parish straddles the diocesan border and at the disestablishment of the Church in Wales in 1920 the parishioners elected to remain in the Church of England, so the church is in the diocese of Hereford.
