Stained Glass in Wales | Gwydr Lliw yng Nghymru

Trena Cox (1895-1980)

Stained glass artist. Trena Mary Cox was brought up in Birkenhead and worked there until moving to Chester in 1924. Initially she worked in association with Williams, Gamon & Co., although within a few years she was accepting commissions independently.

Much of the work for which she was responsible is to be found in the north-west of England, including some major commissions in the 1930s, but her work is also found in North Wales and elsewhere in England. She continued to work from her home in Chester into the 1970s, her last known window made in 1972 when she was 77.
