about 1904

Four-light window showing works of charity with floral decoration.

firm/studio: Jones & Willis Ltd

Former English Congregational Church, Pontycymer, Bridgend
over the altar

Beneath the window are opus sectile panels within a stone surround showing the saints and Jesus preaching set into five panels. Both works are listed in A Book of Designs of Ecclesiastical Art by Jones & Willis Ltd Birmingham, published in 1905 (p. 134), suggesting that both were placed at the time that the church was built in 1904.
