1885

Three-light window. Three angels with female figures representing Hope (with a cross) and Hope (with an anchor) below in the outer lights. Detailed painting of flowers and leaves below in the main lights. Further angels in the tracery lights.

firm/studio: Ward & Hughes

Church of St Catherine, Llanfaes, Anglesey
north wall of the north aisle

Signed and dated by the firm.

Text: 'Father in thy gracious keeping leave we now thy servant sleeping'.

Given in memory of Sir Richard Lewis Mostyn Williams Bulkeley of Baron Hill by M.E. Williams Bulkeley in 1884. Sir Richard Bulkeley (1833-84) was the eleventh baronet. However the signature, and the fact that the aisle was not completed until 1885, date the window to the year after it was given.
