1949

Two-light window with standing figures.

size: 33 cm (width of each light)
artist: Duncan Dearle

Church of St Pedrog, Y Ferwig, Ceredigion
south wall of the chancel (window number: sII)

The window was made for Duncan Dearle at Lowndes & Drury's Glass House, probably in late 1948 or early 1949. Dearle was not a designer and the cartoons were probably reused designs from Morris & Co.

Text: 'Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature' (Mark 16:15).

Given in memory of John Jones by his wife. He was vicar of the parish from 1912–41.
