about 1909

Two-light window with standing figures including Frances, Mary Magdalene and Richard of Chichester.

Church of St Winefride, Holywell, Flintshire
(liturgical) east wall of the (liturgical) south transept

The window is contemporary with the addition of the transepts in 1909, and was given as part of a memorial to the Sankey family.

The legibility of the name behind the saint in the lower right is poor. It may read St Ann. As she is often shown teaching the Virgin Mary to read, her attribute of a book would be appropriate. Mary Magdalene is only identified as 'St Mary', but her long flowing hair and the casket that she holds suggests Mary Magdalene.
