Church of St Simon and St Jude, Llanddeusant, Carmarthenshire
east wall of the chancel

Dedication: 'To the glory of God and in memory of the Edwards of Blaensawdde in this parish this window is erected by their kinsman Howell Gwyn of Dyffryn Neath AD:1885'.

Howel Gwyn JP (1806-88) was honary treasurer for Llanddeusant Church and a prominent public figure and benefactor in Victorian Neath society. During his political career he had served as alderman, town councillor, mayor, High Sheriff of Glamorgan, and MP for Brecon and Falmouth. Gwyn paid for this window as part of the 1885 church restoration. He married the Lord Lieutenant's daughter of Blaensawdde, Llanddeusant.

The window was restored in 2013 by Jim Budd.
