about 1858

Two-light window. Standing figure of Christ making a blessing and holding a banner, with horned Moses who holds the tablets with the ten commandments. Monograms in the tracery lights and the upper trefoil has an open book with the words 'Preach the Gospel'.

size: 50 cm (width of each light)
firm/studio: possibly Forrest & Bromley

Church of St Rhuddlad, Llanrhyddlad, Anglesey
west wall of the nave

Although there are marked differences in the style of the window and the east window of the church, attributed to Forrest & Bromley in The Buildings of Wales: Gwynedd, one of the monograms in the lower right-hand light could possibly be construed as FB.

Given in memory of Revd James Hughes, incumbent of the parish for fifteen years, who died in the year the church was rebuilt, 1858, aged 59.
