Virgin and Child with the Risen Christ Appearing to St Mary Magdalene
probably 1520s
Single-light window. The upper scene shows a standing figure of Mary suckling the Christ-child with angels, two of whom hold a crown over her head, while two below play a viola and a mandolin. She is standing on a crescent moon, with rays of light emanating from her. Below, Christ stands in a fenced garden, with a hat and holding a spade, with Mary Magdalene, who kneels at his feet, her jar of ointment on the ground. Beyond the fence a farm is depicted, and a city on a hill behind the farm.
A prophet is also shown at the apex of the window..
