Moses and Acts of Mercy

Three-light window with six scenes. The upper right-hand scene depicts Moses with the ten commandments, and the upper left-hand scene depicts a woman and a baby by water, perhaps Moses being placed, or perhaps found, in the bulrushes. Between is a woman and child in a landscape. The three scenes below appear to show acts of charity.

The theme of the window is that of the Law and the New Law: the former symbolised by the giving of the ten commandments and the latter by the works of mercy advocated by Christ in Matthew 25.
