about 1902

Two-light window with standing angelic figures. Below are two panels showing (left) a saint baptising a man and his household, and the Supper at Emmaus.

size: 48 cm (width of each light) [approx]
firm/studio: Burlison & Grylls

Church of St Maelog, Llandefaelog Fach, Powys
west wall of the nave (window number: wI)

The close similarity in style to (for example) the two windows at Eglwys Oen Duw, Beulah, suggests the work of Burlison and Grylls, even though the windows are twenty five years apart.

The angels hold the text 'Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord, for they rest from their labours; and their works do follow them' (Revelation 14:13).

The window is a memorial to Prebendary William Williams (died 1902).
