Set of three windows each with scenes and texts. From left: Jesus with the woman of Samaria at the well with the words Justice, Mercy and Truth; the return of the Prodigal Son with the words Charity, Faith and Love; Christ as the Good Shepherd with the words Patience, Peace and Joy.

Trinity Church, Porthcawl, Bridgend

Texts below the scenes: 'God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth' (John 4:24); 'Father I have sinned against heaven and in thy sight, I am no more worthy to be called thy son' (Luke 15:21); 'Rejoice with me for I have found my sheep which was lost' (Luke 15:6). The last text is erroneously described on the window as from Luke 15:18.

Each of the scenes, including that in the foyer, were brought from London by Father Arendzen, probably in the 1950s, and placed in the building used for worship by the Roman Catholic community, known as Waddle Hall. Mass was said in Waddle Hall until the new church, dedicated to Our Lady Star of the Sea, was opened in 1969. The windows were installed in Trinity at about that date.
