size: 180 cm (width) [approx]firm/studio: Shrigley & Huntdesigner: Carl AlmquistChurch of St Bledrws, Betws Bledrws, Ceredigioneast wall of the chancel
Angel in the central lower panel holds the text: 'Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches & wisdom, and strength & honour & glory & blessing'.
Given in memory of John Inglis-Jones of Derry Ormond, by his wife Lady Elizabeth, 1886. (Inglis-Jones had died in 1869, aged 40). The glass displaced the east window of 1854 by Ward & Hughes, which was moved to a church nearby at Llangybi.
Note Pre-Raphaelite style of foliage background. The figures of Mary and John are particularly well drawn. (ObjectID=756 ImageID=1337) Original File Name=_MG_3488.jpgRecord added by Martin Crampin. Last updated on 13-12-2011
