Lists of windows by Christopher Charles Powell published in 1939 and 1952 date the window as 1928 and 1931.

Dedicated to Timothy Powell (died 1889) and Margaret Powell (died 1925) of Penycoed. Money set aside in the will of Margaret Powell provided for the window.
