Three-light window. Christ is shown as a boy in Joseph's carpenter's workshop with Mary and another woman at the centre, and in the left-hand light he is shown debating with the doctors of the law in the temple. The right-hand light shows the adult Christ reading in the synagogue amid a group of listeners. An additional figure of Christ at the top of the central light holds a book displaying a text.

size: 51 cm (width of each light)
firm/studio: Lavers & Westlake

south wall of the south aisle (window number: sV)

Signed 'Lavers and Westlake'.

Given in memory of Richard Grindley (1839–1893). The window was installed and unveiled in the summer of 1894.

The open book bears the text 'For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous' (Romans 5:19).
