Two-light window with an angel addressing the three women at the empty tomb after the Resurrection in the left-hand light, and Christ standing as Mary Magdalene kneels before him in the right-hand light. Angels at the head of both lights. A prophet in the trefoil at top of the window holds a text.

firm/studio: Lavers, Barraud & Westlake

Church of St John, Porthmadog, Gwynedd
north wall of the chancel (window number: nII)

The text held by the prophet at the top of the window reads 'I know that my redeemer liveth' (Job 19:25).

Text beneath the scene in the left-hand light: 'Why seek ye the living among the dead' (Luke 24:5), and beneath the scene in the right-hand light 'Touch me not' (John 20:17).

The window is not visible from the main body of the church; photographs taken from above the roofed meeting room created in the original chancel.
