about 1859

Three-light window with scene of Christ rising from the tomb in the centre, soldiers below.

Church of All Saints, St Thomas, Swansea
west wall of the south aisle

Perhaps by the same studio that made the the outer lights of the east window. The aisle was built 1858–9, so the window must be of this date or later.

Text around the lower edge of the scene: 'The life shall live together with my dead body shall they arise.' The text is from Isaiah 26:19, which begins 'Thy dead men shall live'. This section of the text lacks the yellow stain visible on the other parts of the text, and may therefore have been incorrectly renewed at some stage.
