larger image

Three-light window with Christ as the Good Shepherd at the centre, flanked by two saints with sheep. On the left a nimbed figure with shepherd's staff and a lamb on his shoulders, and on the right Peter with a large key offering straw to a sheep. Crowns and an angel in the tracery.

artist: E. R. Suffling

Church of St Beuno, Aberffraw, Anglesey

Texts: 'Myfi yw y bugail da' (I am the good shepherd: John 10:11) 'Portha fy wyn' (I am the gate: John 10:7)

The image of Peter in the right-hand light is clearly a representation of Christ's commission to 'feed my sheep' (John 21:15-17).
