One of a pair with The Sower, west wall of the south aisle. The same cartoon used at St Martin, Haverfordwest. By 1916 the work of Morris & Co., with John Henry Dearle as chief designer, was repetitive, tending to reuse cartoons, especially those by Burne-Jones. There is no reference to this window in A. Charles Sewter's authoritative The Stained Glass of William Morris and his Circle (Yale UP 1974). The Salvator Mundi figure is not immediately recognizable from the illustrations of Burne-Jones' work in that volume.The panel depicts the ever-popular "Suffer the little children to come unto me" of Mark 10:14. The Salvator Mundi figure clings to a rugged cross, and the chalice at the foot is a reference to Christ's prayer in Gethsemane, that the cup of suffering would pass from Him, but that nonetheless it was the Father's will that must be done.
