Single-light window depicting the crucified Christ between the two thieves with figures below.

Church of St Mary, Dolgellau, Gwynedd
north wall of the nave

In memory of Catherine, wife of Samuel Walker and daughter of Edward Richards, Vicar of Llangwm, co. Denbighs.

Christ crucified between the two thieves. The latter bronzed, with strong musculature. By contrast, the choice of white for the figure of Christ weakens the image. Longinus, mounted on a white horse, behind the cross. Foreground a distraught Mary Magdalene, and swooning Virgin Mary, supported by John and another woman; the figure may be a portrait of Catherine Walker.
