about 1854

Three-light window with heraldry and grisaille decoration.

firm/studio: William Wailes

Church of St John the Baptist, Cardiff
south wall

This is one of two windows, the other is hidden behind the organ. These windows by Wailes are unusual in this part of Wales, where the work of the firm, found widely across England and elsewhere in Wales during the 1850s and 60s, did not seem to find favour with architects and patrons.
