Attributed to the monks of Buckfast in The Buildings of Wales: Powys and listed among the works of Dom. Charles Norris of Buckfast Abbey in his list of windows published by the British Society of Master Glass Painters in 1966.
The same figure is included among the many works in dalle de verre (slab glass set in concrete) at Lillington (Warwickshire), which were said to have been made at Prinknash (see Aidan McRae Thompson's Flickr page). It is possible that perhaps this window perhaps was also made at Prinknash to Norris' design.
The figure is a representation of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and was given by Mr. R.W. Naylor of Chirbury, whose firm was responsible for the erection of the new church. (ObjectID=4160 ImageID=7786) Original File Name=Welshpool_DSC7826A.jpgRecord added by Martin Crampin. Last updated on 14-09-2020
