The window was originally designed by Juliet Rhys-Williams in the 1930s at the time that the church was built. However the sum required to make the window could not be raised. It was not until 2000, when Lady Juliet's daughter-in-law, Susan Glyn, an artist working in stained glass, financed and realised the project. Some attempt to recreate the effect of coloured glass with perspex had been attempted, but this had faded. However, Susan Glyn was able to remember the colours of the original design, and the window was made by the London firm Shades of Light according to her instructions.
