The sanctuary windows comprise five three-light windows with standing figures. The figures, from left to right, are Noah, Abraham with Isaac, Moses, Isaiah, David, John the Baptist, Christ flanked by Mary and John, Mary Magdalene, Peter, Stephen, and the Welsh saints Llure, David and Afan. The windows also include family heraldry and inscriptions below, and the instruments of the Passion above. Standing figures with David and Afan (Afanus) dressed as bishops. Llyr (Llyre) holds a martyrs' palm, and Afan holds a church. Family heraldry below, with inscription surrounded by vine decoration, and shields above with the IHC monogram, and column of the flagellation. A mitre is depicted in the upper roundel.

Church of All Saints, Newbridge-on-Wye
south wall of the sanctuary apse (window number: sIII)

The inscription records the gift of the window by Susan Catherine Venables, in memory of her husband Joseph Henry Venables (1813–1866).

The female saint, who holds a martyr's palm, is the virgin Llyr, an otherwise obscure saint who is remembered as the patron of Llanyre (Llanllyr), also in Radnorshire. Afan is not much better attested, but is clearly the saint remembered at Llanafan Fawr, which is also close to Newbridge-on-Wye. There are also churches dedicated to David not far away, since they are numerous in south-west and central Wales, but he is also the patron of the diocese.
