Christ with Chalice
about 1859
Three-light window. Standing figure of Christ at the centre, his hand raised in blessing and holding a chalice, surrounded by decorative glass, which also largely fills the side lights and tracery, which also include the Agnus Dei and dove of the Holy Spirit.

The central light, with the standing figure of Christ, and the tracery consist of a more colourful style of decorative stained glass, and may be later than the grisaille side lights. It is possible that these side lights date from the original church of 1842-5, but it is more likely to date from R.K. Penson's new east end of 1858-9. However, the style of the central light looks more like the stained glass of the 1860s or 70s than the stained glass of the 1880s, when the chancel was altered again.
