Church of St Peter, Pwllheli, Gwynedd
north wall of the chancel

Signed George J. Hunt, London, 1929.

Text: "That disciple whom Jesus loved" (John 21:7, 20). The author of John's gospel uses this phrase three times at the end of the gospel to refer (traditionally) to John.

Dedication: 'To the Glory of God & in loving memory of John Edwards, B.A. vicar of this parish 1907-1925. This window is dedicated by the parishioners.' The distinctive face of the apostle is perhaps a portrait of John Edwards - an implication that he too was a disciple beloved of Christ.
