about 1938

Two-light window with standing figures in armour. Galahad stands holding a jousting pole with a banner depicting the grail, with the badge of the 18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary's Own) below. George stands over the fallen dragon, and below is a large dog standing in a landscape with a crescent moon in the sky.

Church of St Mary, Beddgelert, Gwynedd
south wall of the nave

Given in memory of Major E. Claude Thomas (died 10 October 1938) by his wife and children.

The dog in the lower right-hand light may have belonged to the family, or is perhaps a representation of Llywelyn's dog Gelert.
