Text: 'Looking for the resurrection of the body when the sea shall give up her dead.'

Given in memory of James Arnold Lewis, lost at sea in 1938, his wife Sarah (died 1969) and son Arthur killed in action 1940.

The inscription is taken from the committal prayer 'At the Burial of their dead at sea' in the 1662 Book of Common Prayer Forms of Prayer to be used at Sea. Petts has used the same cartoon for his figure of Christ as he uses in the Peace window at St Mary's, Fishguard.
