north wall, opposite the entrance to the church through the south door

Dedication: 'Presented by Evelyn Mirehouse 1860.'

The text (Revelation 3:20) was that attached by Holman Hunt to his painting, The Light of the World. This image is clearly based upon that painting, though the lantern is missing from Christ's hand. As the glass is dated 1860, it is within a few years of the painting's exhibition, and illustrative of the impact it made.

The Good Shepherd (John 10:11) is a common image. Here the Christ is shown holding a lamb, probably a reference to Luke 15:6, the finding of the lost sheep, and, by implication, to Matthew 15:24, Christ's stated mission that He was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Note the shepherd's crook, and, more unusually, the shepherd's hat. For this compare with Mildred Eldridge's design of around 1930 for Llanpumsaint.
