firm/studio: Clayton & BellChurch of St Idloes, Llanidloes, Powyssouth wall of the nave
The window was placed in memory of Thomas Davies (18 March 1834–2 February 1887), his wife Marianne (9 October 1838–25 August 1925) and their daughter Gertrude (30 June 1876–30 July 1922). It was given by their son Arthur Davies in 1935, although it is dated 1934 in the the list of windows by Clayton & Bell published by the British Society of Master Glass Painters in 1952.The arrangement of the disciples around the figure of Christ is reminiscent of the tree of Jesse.
