The Risen Christ is at the centre with frightened soldiers at each side, while below the Angel of the Resurrection greets the three Marys and Peter and John ('He is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him'). In the side lights Christ at Emmaus ('Their eyes were opened'), meeting Mary Magdalene in the garden ('Touch me not'), appearing to Thomas ('My Lord and my God') and Peter's Commission ('Feed my sheep') are shown.
