In memory of Margaret Nicholas 1933-1995.An interesting semi-abstract design. The whole plant is shown. Base - root; centre - fruit; top - flower being polinated by bees. The bee is (from St Ambrose) a symbol for the Christian, and of the activity, diligence and zeal that must characterize the Christian life. As a producer of honey (a symbol of Christ) it is also used to symbolize the virginity of Mary.
